Welcome
The Association of SFA Referees Edinburgh and District is affiliated to
the Scottish Football Association and is responsible for bringing
together, developing and recruiting football referees in the City of
Edinburgh, East Lothian, West Lothian, Midlothian and the Scottish
Borders. We hold regular monthly meetings, weekly training
sessions at three venues and many other events to promote refereeing in
our
area throughout the year. Please see the Association Structure page

Latest News
8th May: Latest SPL, SFL, Junior and East of Scotland Appointments
added. Best wishes to John Underhill in his final Scottish Football
League game, refereeing the play-off final between Clyde and
Airdrie United.
8th May: Recent photos of Edinburgh referees added to the Photos
page. With many cup semi-finals and finals taking place at all
levels at this time of year, please take along a camera to these
matches and we'll publish photos on this website. Send photos to
webmaster Gavin Ross - more details on the Contacts page.
26th April: Brian Colvin has been appointed to referee the Junior
Cup Final between Bathgate and Cumnock at Rugby Park on 1 June. Many
congratulations to Brian and the Association is delighted to hear this
fantastic news.

Want to take up refereeing?
One of the most important roles for our Association is the recruitment
and development of new referees. Every match from minor grade
youth football to the FIFA World Cup Final needs a referee and there
has never been a better time to get involved in this vital area of the
game. If you are interested in becoming a referee then please

Meetings
The next meeting will be on Thursday 7th August at
7pm. The meeting will take place at our new regular venue, the Marriot Hotel on Glasgow Road, Edinburgh.
